Day 64 – (7th Mar) – Cosy Corner, WA to NorthCliffe, WA
Left Cosy Corner early in the morning. Stopped at some roadside stops for some fruit. Visited the Valley of the giants tree top walk. Stayed the night at Sid’s Camp in Northcliffe where the kids roasted marshmallows on the campfire.
Day 65 – (8th Mar) – NorthCliffe, WA
Visited the Bicentennial Tree – Libby, Juls and Crystal climbed it. Visited a large playground in Manjimup while the ladies did some shopping. Visited d’entrecasteaux and went on a short walk. Had dinner at the local pub.
Day 66 – (9th Mar) – NorthCliffe, WA to Margaret River, WA
Left NorthCliffe mid morning and drove to Margaret River. Checked in at Big Valley Campsite at about lunchtime. Setup, checked out town and the kids fed the sheep before having pizzas cooked in the Weber for dinner.
Day 67 – (10th Mar) – Margaret River, WA
Visited the Farmers Market in Margaret river, picked up some fresh produce. Visited the Calgardup Cave which the kids loved. Visited the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse where the southern and indian oceans meet. It was blowing an absolute gale which made it harder to enjoy.
Day 68 – (11th Mar) – Margaret River, WA
Visited the Cheese Factory and Chocolate factory in the morning. Visited the Yallingup maze which the kids enjoy completing. Had lunch at the beach close by at Yallingup beach. Attempted, unsuccessfully, to find sea lions which live near Cape Naturaliste lighthouse. Had an ice-cream at Simmos before heading back to camp.
Day 69 – (12th Mar) – Margaret River, WA to Busselton
Packed up camp and visited the berry farm and lolly shop before driving through to Bussleton. Checked in at the Seventh Day Adventist caravan park on the “religious mile”. Swam at the beach at the park.
Day 70 – (13th Mar) – Busselton, WA
Visited Busselton town, took a train ride to the end of the jetty. Enjoyed a picnic lunch in the park and then spent the rest of the day relaxing at camp.
