Week 38 – Airlie Beach, QLD to Koumala, QLD

Day 261 (26th Sep) –  Airlie Beach, QLD

Went to the bird feeding at the park at 8am. Spent the day playing in the pool, jumping pillow and doing a short walk from Shute harbor to coral beach.

Day 262 (27th Sep) – Airlie Beach, QLD

Unfortunately the cruise we were going to book was full today so we completed the Conway circuit which is a walk through rainforrest which sits in the hills behind Airlie Beach. Spent the afternoon relaxing with the kids playing with friends they made at the park.

Day 263 (28th Sep) – Airlie Beach, QLD

Got up early to take a morning cruise to Whitehaven beach and Hamilton island. Spent at the caravan park once again.

Day 264 (29th Sep) – Airlie beach, QLD to Calen, QLD

Left Airlie Beach and headed inland and back onto the bruce highway. Decided to stop in a small town of Calen. Spent the afternoon watching the AFL grand final between Collingwood and West Coast.

Day 265 (30th Sep) – Calen, QLD

Spent the day discovering Cape Hillsborough and Seaforth. Walked an amazing loop at Cape Hillsborough which visited various lookouts with great views of the surrounds.

Day 266 (1st Oct) – Calen, QLD

Visited Finch Hatton gorge and Eungella National Park – both were fantastic and were a great surprise.

Day 267 (2nd Oct) – Calen, QLD to Koumala, QLD

Spent the morning looking around Mackay on the way through including a stop at the train yards for Luke. Ended up in a small town called Koumala where we had a pub dinner at the local hotel.
