Day 283 (17th Oct) – 1770, QLD to Hervey Bay, QLD
Packed up and left 1770 after a great few days. Stopped in a Bunderberg and discovered the drink factory was shut for renovation. Lily found a peppa pig bike in the op shop which she really wanted so we bought that then continued on to Hervey Bay. Spent the afternoon checking out the area
Day 284 (18th Oct) – Hervey Bay , QLD
Day 285 (19th Oct) – Hervey Bay, QLD to Eumundi, QLD
Left Hervey Bay in the morning and headed to Eumundi where we stayed at the showgrounds for the night. Unhitched the van and checked out the ginger factory as well as some of the sunshine coast/Noosa.
Day 286 (20th Oct) – Eumundi, QLD to Beerwah, QLD
Spent the morning browsing the markets in Eumundi before hooking the van back up and heading down to Beerwah so that we could visit Australia Zoo the next day. Spent the afternoon exploring the glasshouse mountains.
Day 287 (21st Oct) – Beerwah, QLD
Visited Australia Zoo – which the kids loved. We arrived when it opened and made it out just before the heavens opened in the middle of the afternoon.
Day 288 (22nd Oct) – Beerwah, QLD to Ballina, NSW
After a quick ride around with the kids (Lily was confident on her bike already) we made the trip through Brisbane, across the border to Ballina. We stopped just over the border at Fingal Head for lunch.
Day 289 (23nd Oct) – Beerwah, QLD to Ballina, NSW
Spent the day exploring around Ballina (up the coast towards Byron Bay). Enjoyed the afternoon by the pool.
