Day 50/51 – (21th/22nd Feb) Esperence, WA
Caught up with shopping, washing and fixed some minor issues. Did the scenic drive which covers half a dozen stunning beaches. 22nd was the twins birthday so celebrated with fish and chips on the foreshore and with a mud cake for desert.
Day 52 – (23rd Feb) Esperence, WA to Lucky Bay, Cape Le Grande National Park, WA
Left Esperence early to ensure we got a spot at Lucky Bay. Arrived at just after 8am and quickly got a shared camp so we could both camp on the same site. Visited the beach in the afternoon – Kangaroos, white sand and turquoise water. What a place!
Day 53 – (24th Feb) Lucky Bay, Cape Le Grande National Park, WA
Did a hike to Thistle Cove (2km) – kids loved it. Spent the rest of the day at camp and tinted a few of the windows on the van.
Day 54 – (25th Feb) Lucky Bay, Cape Le Grande National Park, WA
Climbed Frenchmans Peak (very steep walk) in the morning. Drove to Esperence via the beach in the afternoon.
Day 55 – (26th Feb) Lucky Bay, Cape Le Grande National Park, WA to Stokes Inlet NP
Left Lucky Bay in the morning, stopped at Esperence for supplies and lunch. Stopped in Stokes Inlet where we went for a quick fish – everyone caught undersized bream on chicken.
Day 56 – (27th Feb) Stokes Inlet NP to Bremer bay, WA
Left Stokes Inlet mid morning after the twins finished their schoolwork. Stopped at Fitzgereld Old school site for lunch.
Continued on to Bremer Bay in the afternoon and checked into the caravan park for 2 nights.
