Day 36 (7th Feb) – Moonlight Bay, SA
Spent the day at Moonlight Bay on the beach and by ourselves until some more travelers came to stay the night.
Day 37 (8th Feb) – Moonlight Bay, SA to Port Lincoln, SA
Left moonlight bay in the early morning and headed back north to Tumby bay where we had a break and let the kids play in the park. Decided to go inland to a camp in the middle of the peninsula. As we ventured inland the temperature got warm very quick so we turned back and headed for the coast. Ended up staying in a caravan park near the airport on the north side of town.
Day 38 (9th Feb) – Port Lincoln, SA to September Beach, Lincoln NP, SA
Packed up and left Port Lincoln. Did some shopping and laundry in town then headed to Port Lincoln National park where we had a site booked.
Day 39/40 (10/11th Feb) – September Beach, Lincoln NP, SA
Hiked to the top of Stamford hill and then did a loop back to the car park – total 5.7kms. Luke was pretty tired after that.
Another family from Pinaroo arrived and Luke made friends with their kids. Went swimming at the beach and saw dolphins a couple of hundred meters away.
Day 41 (12th Feb) – September Beach, Lincoln NP, SA to Coffin Bay NP, SA
Left September Beach early in the morning and got to Coffin Bay before Lunch. Had lunch and went 4x4ing to some amazing beaches.
Day 42 (13th Feb) – Coffin Bay NP, SA to Venus Bay, SA
Left Coffin Bay in the morning, lunch at Locks Well and then stayed at Coodlie Park, SA which was a rustic farm stay with showers that you had to fill up buckets and hoist up with a pulley. Visited the private beach with amazing rockpools!
